Title: 最近ちょっと気になる分子雲について†
Abstract: 我々の研究グループでは、国内外のミリ波・サブミリ波望遠鏡を駆使して
銀河系内、特に銀河系中心の観測的研究を重点的に進めてきた。それらの結果から
多くの重要な成果が得られており、引き続きALMA等を使用した観測研究へと
邁進しているところである。閑話休題、このところ非常に興味深い分子雲を幾つか発見した。
これらは分子雲でありながら、銀河系内の磁気活動性あるいは高エネルギー現象と
密接に関係している可能性が高い。本談話会では、そのような特異分子雲、
具体的には、(1)「ぶたのしっぽ」分子雲、(2) トルネード星雲、(3) W44分子雲、
について紹介する予定である。

Title: Tracking down the star formation main sequence and its environmental dependence out to z~2†
Abstract: Recent observations have shown that there is a tight
correlation between star formation rate (SFR) and stellar mass (M*) of
star-forming galaxies. This SFR-M* relation (so-called "star formation
main sequence") is reported to be independent of environment at least in
the local universe. In my talk, I will present our recent effort to
investigate the environmental dependence of the SF main sequence out to z~2.
By compiling our large, H-alpha selected SF galaxy samples in
distant clusters (from MAHALO-Subaru; our ongoing project) and in
general field environments (from HiZELS; lead by UK group), we find that
there is no detectable environmental variation in the SF main sequence
out to z~2, as far as we rely on the simple H-alpha based SFRs. However,
in contrast to this apparently simple picture, we also find an
interesting hint that SF galaxies in cluster environments tend to be
more massive, and perhaps more highly obscured by dust. We speculate
that such massive/dusty galaxies surviving in distant cluster
environments should hold a key for understanding environmental effects
in the early universe.

Title: Herschel Planetary Nebula Survey (HerPlaNS)†
Abstract:
The Herschel Planetary Nebula Survey (HerPlaNS) is one of the largest
Open-Time programs carried out with the Herschel Space Observatory by
an international team of about 30 astronomers. Our primary aim with
HerPlaNS is to probe the dust and gas components of the target PNs
simultaneously via far-IR thermal dust continuum and ionic, atomic, and
molecular emission lines in the far-IR respectively as the initial
processing sites of the cosmic recycling of matter. Armed with excellent
capabilities in spectral imaging and integral-field spectroscopy, we
diagnose the spatially-variable physical conditions in the target
nebulae to build a more coherent and complete picture of the energetics
for these extended gas-dust systems.
HerPlaNS is part of a community-wide panchromatic (from X-ray to Radio)
effort to furnish substantial PN data resources that would allow us -
a community of PN astronomers - to tackle a multitude of issues in PN
physics, from understanding the nebula shaping mechanisms, to establishing
the self-consistent energetics of the multi-phased gas-dust system
surrounding the central white dwarf, and to properly accounting for
the amount of matter that gets injected into the interstellar space.
In this talk I will briefly summarize the survey and focus on describing
the resulting initial data products and their derivatives using one of
the targets, NGC 6781, as an example.
